Most residential and light commercial foundations concentrate relatively large loads on small earth contact surfaces (concrete foundations). For this loading, the soil bearing capacity must be significant, if not, foundation settlement may occur.

While an extensive and proper pressure grouting program may stabilize these conditions, X-Tech feels that in most cases, steel underpinning systems offer a permanent, cost effective solution. Another advantage to steel underpinning systems is the capability to raise foundations to their original position. In most cases the combinations of steel underpinning and pressure grouting offer the most complete foundation repair.
