Pressure Grouting

In the residential industry, pressure grouting is a simple term for pumping a cement or chemical material “grout” under pressure. It is often used as a process name but in actuality it is just a term. There are different types of grouting that is usually all performed under pressure.

The term permeation grouting used today is the process of injecting a grout substance into an isolated space of which the configuration of the space is not usually known. It could be either a large voided area or micro voids between particle of soil. Basically, the purpose of permeation grouting is to improve the soil on which a structure is built. Specifically, permeation grouting can be performed either to strengthen soils or reduce water flow through the ground, but it is typically used to correct soils that aren’t compacted properly.  The intricacies of the procedure depend on the project needs. Extreme Tehnologys is well versed in all “pressure grouting” processes and will be glad to provide a design for you and your home to stop moving soils.
